Dates to Remember:

Deadline for Entry is 8/25/2026

 

If paying by check your entry fee must be postmarked no later than 08/25/2026 or your entry will be voided and check will be returned, this is due to catalog deadline.

 

All cattle must be approved by the board. The commission rate for the sale is 14%.

 

Sale animals’ nomination fee of $125.00 per animal will be refunded from the commission cost when sold. If you pull your animal from the sale, you will not receive your $125.00 nomination fee back. All animals that are floored come sale day that do not sell will be charged 14% of the last bid.

Terms and Conditions

  • Females must have at least a 400 adjusted weaning weight
  • Bulls
    • Must have at least a 500 adjusted weaning weight and at least a 900 adjusted yearling weight
    • Must be Approved Herd Sire
    • Pass a BSE test before the sale date
    • Be at least 14 months old by sale date
  • All animals must have a visible tattoo
  • Upon arrival all animals are required to have health papers & must have an 840 (EID) tag.
  • This will be a video sale; cattle will not run through a ring. All cattle will need at least a video done on them, all videos must be submitted by October 1st, 2026, if you need help finding someone to do your video call as soon as possible: Tim Tarter @ 606-305-2289 or Matthew Hunt @ 606-923-5885

    All videos and pictures must be sent to kentuckyblackhereford.org@gmail.com and can be uploaded on the entry form. Videos and Pictures needed to be renamed to your animals Tattoo or ID number so we will know what picture or video goes to what animal. We will have your videos edited so they can have their assigned lot numbers on them for the sale.

  • If you want a picture of your animal in the catalog they must be submitted by September 5th, you will have to submit a quality picture. Pictures may be taken by a professional or by the individual consignor, to ensure quality all pictures must be approved by the sales manager.
